The groundhog didn’t see his shadow this year and the bees are starting to buzz around, which means that spring is finally on its way!

Nice weather on the way means that many of us will be cleaning our homes, inside and out. We’ll be washing everything from our floors to the exterior of our homes, cleaning all of winter’s dirt and grime.

Cleaning your vinyl siding is fairly simple and cost effective, as long as you remember a few important things.

Are you on top of your spring cleaning?

  • Always read the instruction manual for your power washer before you use it.
  • Be sure to inspect your siding a week before you want to power wash it, and repair or replace any damaged sections.
  • Only use detergents that are meant for pressure washers.
  • Don’t spray under the bottom edges of the siding panels, or around gaps near door and window trim.
